Barbara, It is very important to learn to accept ourselves for who we really are, not trying to pretend to be someone we think others want us to be. Very inspiring post. Thanks for visiting my blog!

I believe we have limited strengths within our own power. We are almost nothing unless we rely on something higher than ourselves…. then we become “salt of the earth”.

    • Reply barbarafranken July 6, 2013 at 07:15

Indeed the human is very limited… programmed so by people who liked it this way… i.e.. the church… rich and powerful people through the ages… We have been lead to believe that god, a higher power or as I like to call it… source of all that is (the IAM presence) is outside ourself… and we have to go through the church men to get to it… But the human is indeed waking up now and remembering… a knowingness stirs within and we realise that we are part of the source… The divinehuman being is the IAM presence… We are all god too…

Thankfully, I caught on in early years that I was at the steering wheel of my life, but even so we can go off course at times. Having emerged from a very difficult decade of my life recently, I’ve been coming to this higher level of understanding you speak of. It’s so simple and so inviting. All it takes is a leap of faith and then a commitment to keep leaping!!! I’m working on it!

    • Reply barbarafranken July 8, 2013 at 16:12

Yes… we give ourselves some experiences don’t we… as we grow more authentic (awakening to our divine perfection)… we move through the human experiences that no longer serve us… trusting.. trusting and assuming that everything is just perfect as it is… Thankyou for visiting my blog and joining my friendship ring… I will also enjoy reading about your authentic journey… Barbara

    Yes~ Number 1 of The Four Agreements;
    Be Impeccable with your Word.

Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of the word in the direction of truth and love.oring this ourselves, yes? 🙂

You are so correct…we are making it all up as we go along. We’ve never done this before. Now what will we choose–as individuals, as a collective? Our individual choices make up the whole, determine the way it will all go on a grand scale. Time to quit feeding the fear and instead make conscious choices to feed the love instead.

Oh, and by the way, thank you for following my blog! You are one special lady!

    • Reply barbarafranken July 31, 2013 at 16:40

Indeed what will we all choose… from myself I’m choosing my hearts desire… a few friends of mine have began ‘project peace mural’ that will project our colourful imaginations of how we see our new loving world which we are creating one heart at a time…

It’s my pleasure following you and you must be one special lady too…. recognising it in another…take care and breathe deeply…

As a molecular geneticist, I will say this: the genetic deterministic paradigm is provisional at best, out-and-out wrong at worst. According to and as deduced from theory, I am my genes. I control the expression of my genes. I both control and am my destiny. Finally, am I violent? Well, My evolutionary history proves that I have killed, raped, tortured, and pillaged every creature, civilization, and person that I am. I’d say that’s pretty violent. Alas, though – I knew not what I did. Only I can wake up and realize that I am the one responsible for each and every violent act that is committed or has ever been committed. Only I can bring the violence that I am to a stop. Peace, Ik

I did a shamanic journey with a fellow blogger, shamantracker, in my journey e discovery about self was that I had been leaning on my feminine side and therefore was not balanced. She recommended some breathing exercises which of course I haven’t done.

I have Daddy issues, my father did not want children and didn’t cherish us at all. (He was not mean or abusive, just absent) It affects me in life. Doreen Virtue does a weekly Angel Card reading and this week she said something like, “This week you need to release those daddy issues.” lol Really? I think perhaps she was talking to me. I unfairly wanted my boyfriend to fill in some of those needs, when I really need to do that for myself.

    Good article Barbara.

Thank you for sharing Sindy… I also had issues, and because I couldn’t remember, I kept wanting to remember and it was always there getting in the way…. until I understood that I am not that same person that was… ‘whatever happened’… all my cells have physically changed since then… It was just another experience and I am quite alright now… if I allowed myself to be… I embraced the emotional stuck part of me, told it like a big sister that it was loved and asked it to express itself… I didn’t have to understand… I felt the acceptance coming in and the emotion just dispersed… I’d taken the charge off and it was gone, transformed into a neutral energy filled with potential… that I used again for myself to create… Barbara

I think the problem with people is not that they want to kill or poison themselves but they don’t know how to change. Also, they want things to be easy – go to the store, buy stuff, and cook.

These days being healthy means spending a lot of time reading, shopping around, spending a lot of money and making good choices. You have to agree that there are a limited amount of places that you can go out and have a healthy meal with your friends or family.

Also, making a choice to be happy means that you have to stop being a victim, and that, my friend, is a deal breaker. We are raised to fit in, we are raised to think that happiness comes from things you own, career you have, life you build, and if you do not have it, you can’t be happy. And, of course, that means that if you have dreams and you have not been able to make them a reality, you just can’t be happy.

    • Reply barbarafranken August 17, 2013 at 09:47

Thank you for your thoughtful comments… Are you living in America? I found it also very hard to find restaurants that served healthy food too… or not too expensive..Thank goodness I live in Spain where I go to the local market and buy most of my products very cheaply… the restaurants are also reasonable, a 3 course meal is an average of 15 euros and a bottle of rioja 6 euro…. We chose to live here because the living costs were so reasonable… Yes, like you mention reading and talking about where to find reasonable priced food is so essential… I found the farmers market was good when i was visiting america… Thankfully information is getting out there and more and more people are becoming more conscious of what they eat and do now…. and realise that all the material things, the best study and career etc don’t make you happy anyway… The secret is to go beyond the mind, the ego and connect with the soul… and follow the souls dream… this basically means to choose to opt out of main stream society, of having to fit in… and standing out… here IAM and just being happy with what is… I know it’s easy said, but one heart at a time… and isn’t it why we are all writing so consciously now… to help each other move from ‘fitting in’ to standing out…

What a challenging tool depression can be. How powerful when one can allow any feeling while working on observing it from a place of using it as a teacher to inform transformation.

You are giving such a wonderful share for the snap shot of where we all are on the path. It takes courage to dive into the laughter in a world (and sometimes body!) that is asking us to only focus on the pain. When we feel the pain and can still find the smile, for me, it brings me closer to being home :).

Really glad to have been honored by your follow over on my blog. I am looking forward to the shares as the road a head of each of us unfolds!

Much joy on yOur jounrey lovely lady! -x.M

Thank you for your thoughtful and lovely comments… I believe we can only be examples… helping fellow awakening people to enjoy their own true magnificence and authentic power…

Isn’t pain a language from the body that needs attention? Isn’t depression a language from the mind that needs to escape from itself…

Loving ourself unconditionally is the beginning of freedom… freedom from pain, depression and fear that our world is now intensely wrapped up in….

It is my pleasure to have you as part of my friendship here on word press… Yes together we are creating a new magically world…

Great reminder to find in the reader today. I have moments of what attempts to still be heart heaviness related to those Sheriffs out there that we share the planet with (MASSIVELY good hearted ones, still btw) who think that a gun as a last resort can answer anything leading one into the place that living from and with these statements does. A kind word will turn away wrath is how the teaching of the tradition I was raised it would frame it. Powerful truths. Enjoying having connected with such inspiration found here. -x.M
