November 18 REBLOGATHON… Friends, Fun & Laughter

What a beautiful day and evening I had yesterday, preparing for my early Thanksgiving and Christmas Party with some of my friends who were available to come and celebrate with me at my home in Benalmadena.

I wanted to say a huge thankyou to these dear friends who have been here for me this year. Not only listening to my moans and groans and helping me deal with the enormous load of administrative work there is to do and change when someone dies, but opened their hearts and made me feel very welcome in their lives.

Most of them knew Tom, loved Tom and are getting to know him better now. It’s as if he is with us! We did love our social parties… only thing Tom didn’t like was the cleaning up after! Well he’s got away with it now!

I don’t think I have laughed and had such fun in quite a while! The food and drinks were delicious, I made a typical turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Spanish cheese, meats and olives to start the evening and chocolate and ice cream for after. Both boys Arthur and John play the guitar so we had quite a musical hour, singing and dancing till we thought it was better to call it a night!

Today the weather is stormy again and after having a bit of a sleep in this morning, I actually enjoyed cleaning up! I put on a Christmas movie (oh no, do I hear you saying!) and rested. Having time to give everything I’m going through a place.

It actually brought me to a sad place, thinking about Tom’s birthday that is coming up and Christmas and NewYear. I will miss my love so much more during this time, just thinking about how we as a family always had so much fun coming together.

It brought me to think about my being a stepmum to Tom’s children and how its not been one of my easiest roles. But over the years with Tom and Ingrid’s (the children mother) support we all became very close and made some great memories together as one big happy family. It’s always been very important for me and Tom to be there for your family, to give your best and create as much harmony around you as possible. IAM missing this now like you can’t imagine!

I wouldn’t say IAM in a crisis, but to make sure I don’t go there, I’ve enjoyed reading this post that seemed to find me when I was in my archives. I love the poem and hope you do to. Please enjoy reading my reblog!

Now, is always an opportunity
to put yourself in the light
to dance with joy and giggle in delight
with the intention of wholeness, of balance
no more excuses, you can do it NOW
even imagine or pretend
stand up and dance and laugh out loud
embracing all your fear & pain
all the darkness that you buried deep
all the broken aspects you scattered wide
welcoming all back home
to your physical body, mind & spirit
the sacred vessel that is preparing
for your next adventure beyond
as One Body Consciousness
the DivineHumanBeing
