Surviving a Natural Disaster…

Hurricane Irma was increasing in size as it tumbled westwards towards the small northern islands of the carribbean… heading for the USA. We were concerned for St Maarten as this was where all our children lived.

We were already chilling quietly on a low pitch as the heat in Southern Spain didn’t want to cool down and the solar eclipse had opened up a magical mix of light codes which were downloading into our physical body/mind… causing discomfort and bouts of irritability that were making us tired and attract mosquitoes to come and bite ME!

AND then Irma came into our consciousness and we spent the next days following her path and relaying it to our family as their power and water was the first to go off… they had a generator they used on and off as they knew the diesel would only last so long and had stocked up on basic food and water. They knew it was going to be big and we felt their fear. They had prepared the best they could and as a last resort they each knew to jump into the bath as a safe place to hide.

Eventually we heard they were all safe but all the buildings had seen better days. Our son had to leave his home, some belongings gone or damaged… they made some repairs and came together in one house as Jose was now on the warpath. They knew the drill by now, had faced their fears and survived.

When Irma was marching across the atlantic I had tried blowing her away and asked many people to help… but she wasn’t about to budge, she was on a mission. As I tuned into Mother Earth I felt the desperation in her shaky voice and understood my reflection and that everything not anchored in love, joy and harmony would not survive.

I anchored all my family into a great love heart within Mother Earth herself.

This time as Jose was approaching I tried something different, not out of desperation but out of love that I know IAM, I embraced Mother Earth and all her natural phenomena… Hurricane Jose too. I lay on my bed and took myself into the heart of Mother Earth and Jose, I allowed myself to be the waking awareness radiating my love to her. No judgement, no doubt, only love. I felt our oneness and knew everything would be OK.

We slept as well as could be expected and next morning saw that Jose had stayed away from all the islands. We were all thankful.

Our family remain safe, but St Maarten is a total disaster zone, they describe it as a war zone, as all the shops, business’s and empty homes have been robbed and striped bare and hotel guests made hostage and possessions taken. There were no police or army to help. People are now coming out down into the town, lining up on the street with empty buckets and bags begging for water and food.

AND we know this is happening on all the small caribbean islands too.

Extra military have now arrived to take care of the looters, so people feel more safe and my family are among a lot of others going out to help neighbours and people around them as much as they can… sharing their water and food.

Compassion is being played out within the hopelessness of everything.

AND people are all left wondering what can we do. No business anymore as everything is dependant on the tourists. No tourists anymore. No building. No money. How can we build a new life here? My family is discussing the best way forward and I will keep you all informed of their progress as my 2nd grandchild is nearing her time to be born… without a home, no medical insurance, no hospital, no clothes or food.

There is a lot of help coming from the Netherlands, supplies and money… but St Maarten is going to need a lot to begin rebuilding the life’s of 30 thousand people (on the dutch side only). My family has taken the initiative to start a go-fund, if you feel you can help, I can assure you it’ll get shared with the people who need it. Help save St Maarten.

Thankyou for helping and sharing this post.

In the meantime Irma and Jose are doing their best to break down everything within there path not anchored in love, joy and harmony. So I embrace all of Florida and say, look fear in the eye become fearless and allow yourself to be courageous and compassionate.

It is time for us all to rebuild our lives on a foundation of honesty, transparency, unity, cooperation, love, joy, abundance and freedom.

I’m happy to read that, what you did helped your kids to survive, Barbara 🙂
Many souls, both humans and animals, are in big challenges now, just to survive.
I hope, that your family will be able to collect money enough to help in their surroundings.

I am so glad your family is safe but so sad about what has transpired too. St Maarten is special to me too. It made such an enchanting impression on me when I visited there. It really saddens me to see the destruction and desperation. But we must remain grateful and positive and united.

hugs, Linda

PS congratulations on another grandchild on the way. I pray he or she will have a lovely place to be incarnated.

New news that your family is safe! One feels helpless so far away but you embraced the natural strength. May those affected find the courage to face the future!

The power of love Barbara, I’ve been told it can move mountains…but hurricanes? Apparently so 😀
I know your, and many others (me too 😀 ), love will keep them safe while some sanity is brought back to their lives, it was an incredible calamity to go through.
Love, light and hope to you all <3
